Figure 1.3: Open a layer and choose a color, 6 May 2021
Figure 1.4: Brush size, 6 May 2021
Tutor taught us that we can also adjust the brush sizes using the short cut key, "[" or "]". This way would be way faster rather than keep going up there to do the size adjustments.
Figure 1.5: Coloring, 6 May 2021
This part, we had to color the parts where we want the colors to be, same process goes to other parts of the portrait.
Figure 1.6: Masking with Overlay, 6 May 2021
We can use the opacity tool to make the colors look more reasonable for the portrait.
Figure 1.7: Color adjustments, 6 May 2021
I did some adjustments with the Image Adjustments tool. I changed the saturations for more natural looking skin color.
After all that, I did the same for the other parts of the head, which are the mouth, hair, clothes, and eyes as well.
Figure 1.8: Background coloring, 6 May 2021
For the background, tutor taught us an easier way for coloring it. We can choose to use the selection tool for the background, which is way faster than using the brush and draw on it. So, I used the quick selection tool for it.
Figure 1.9: Masking, 6 May 2021
This part right here, where how the background presents, we had to create a new layer for the background as well. Then, click on the background layer after the selection and click the masking tool.
