Project 1: Pasta Grannies Infographic Poster

After taking notes from the lecture and the announcements on this project 1, I have chosen the current 2nd popular video from Pasta Grannies channel in YouTube, the Granny Cesaria's Lorighittas. I started to browse through pinterest and look for some pasta poster designs. Then I began to sketch out my poster afterwards. I had my base colours in mind when I watched the granny video, so I had black, yellow, red, and khaki colours as a start to visualise my poster.

Figure 0.3: Compositing, 22 February 2022

My idea supposingly should have my main dish up front and clear then only have my steps at the side of the poster, but after some try and errors when compositing them in Adobe Illustrator, I started to feel uncomfortable with the design. Plus, I wanted it to look simple and understandable with a few steps like 3 main steps to make the pasta, but it didn't turned out how I wanted it should be. After that, I proceeded to work on another idea in Adobe Photoshop.

Figure 1.0: Graphic elements, 22 February 2022

I have added a graphic element which was a strand of twisted pasta in my poster design to create some visual as a whole, so that it looks related and balanced.

Figure 1.2: Numbering for steps, 22 February 2022

I have actually done with the poster design but at the end I realised it could be better if I went and add some numbering to address exactly how many main steps there are to make this pasta.

The Ingredient was arranged by Alphabet sequence, which are from "Chicken, Garlic, Onion, Parsley, Tomato Passata, and White Wine" at last. Then the steps were readable from the top to bottom.

Project 2: Pasta Grannies Infographic Video

After I have done and satisfied with my Infographic poster for Project 1, I began to save all the assets that I would need for the animation as shown below.
