PROGRESS
Week 9
This project will concentrate on themed scene modelling from 2D concept art using either simple organic or hard surface modelling. Lighting, composition, and rendering are all critical. The final artwork will be displayed using a CPU-based rendering preview.
Figure 0.1: Colour schemes
For this project I will be modeling something that goes with the color schemes that I have chosen. I will be modeling a Food Shop.
Figure 0.2: Cube mesh
I started with a cube mesh then Loop Cut it to get the shape around it. I will be modeling the main object for the theme model first then only get to the small details.
Figure 0.3: Modifiers
I used a lot of bevel, smooth, and subdivision for this project in order to get that soft and cute feels to it.
Figure 0.4: Kitchen ventilator
After modeling the main body of the house, I moved to model the kitchen ventilator placing right on top of the roof.
Figure 0.5: Food store front
Figure 0.6: Door at the side
For this door I have used the method of loop cut and pressing Ctrl B to enable more lines along with the previous line I got there. That way I then deleted the faces between each lines in order to get that clean suitable bars for the door. I then pressed F while I'm still in the edit mode to close up the deleted faces.
Figure 0.7: Door handle
To create the door knob right there, I added a circle mesh and selected the half of the faces of the shape then dragged them to one side. Then, I will delete the half of the shape to get that door handle look to it.
Figure 0.8: Store title
I used the font I downloaded on the website "DaFont", it was the "hunter" font. I applied every texts for this design with the same font. I also apply the method for every texts where I duplicated the text then enlarge it a little bit to create that text border look.
Figure 0.9: Bar stool
For the bar stool, I modeled it using circle mesh. Creating it from the bottom of the stool the to the rings of the stool, then to the seat of the stool. After I'm happy with the looks of the stool, I duplicated it into three stools and aligned them nicely in the -Y axis.
Figure 1.0: Roof over window
As usual, I started out by separate the plane I duplicated from the ceiling of the shop. I used the method of loop cuts in order to make the roof look like as shown above, I selected the specific vertices and push them back a little to create that curve.
