PROGRESS
Week 1
After the briefing session for the first week of this module, we were told to decide on our specialisation, and mine was Animation and Visual Effects.
Week 2
we were assigned to decide on our research theme, research topic, research problem, problem statement, and lastly the research rationale. Thus, these are the results I have decided on as shown below.
Topic: 2d animation impact on static images
Problem: find out how 2d animation has made an impact on animation industry
Rationale: some examples from recent animation economic sales that went up quickly due to being animated.
Week 3
For this week, we had our Q&A session and were told to show our progress for our research theme, research topic, research problem, problem statement, research rationale, research questions, and research objectives. I changed my topic after getting some feedback from Dr. Hayati.
(Topic changed)
Topic: The evolution of techniques in motion comics, in the year from the 90s to late 2000s.
Week 4
This is the week we were assigned to hand-in our Research Proposal. I managed to change my working title into something more narrowed down I reckon.
Research theme: Animation and visual effects
Research topic: Adapting stories from the original manga of Jujutsu Kaisen into animation format.
Research problem: The challenge of transforming manga scenes into animated sequels in Jujutsu Kaisen Anime. We have to examine these mechanisms by comparing stories and concepts described in between static or still images and movement media or animations. We may notice some of the scenes from the original manga were not chosen to be animated. Many people tend to feel upset that some of their favourite stories or scenes did not get to be animated.

Week 10
I showed Dr. Hayati my primary research draft. She mentioned that I have to let the participants to give their own opinions rather than having "yes/ no" options.
- Qualitative
Take place via visual analysis from the Jujutsu Kaisen series, and possibly some animators or artists that the researcher has chosen. As for the pros, it is that the method by using visual analysis means that the research will be viewing and analyzing some parts by themself just for some self-interpreted data obtained from this Anime. Then, this method will also help collect some more detailed information. The cons to this is that this will probably take up quite some time for the researcher to analyse all the data from both mediums of Jujutsu Kaisen series.
- Quantitative
Take place via Google Forms, by which it means, the researcher will be using the multiple choice questions system in Google Form. This method is to make some questionnaire surveys to see the demographics of the general public to see how people think about the animation in Jujutsu Kaisen and compare the Anime version and the Manga version to see the way it got adapted from still to animations. As for the pros, it is that this will be a quick and direct way to get the answers from people. The cons to this method would be lack of detailed information as the answers the researcher will get are just going to be categorised between statics and charts and not some in depth opinions.
Week 11
This week, I start by posting my Google Survey Form on Reddit in order to gather primary data.
There were several subreddit that I have chosen to post at, which are very relevant to my study topic.

Week 12
Dr. Hayati and Dr. Jinchi introduced us to the final tasks before joining our main data consulting team. The final homework briefing is about the research reports and presentations we were assigned to record, with a maximum of 20 slides, and at the same time compiling our research plan, critical review and research implementation-the main data into a PDF file.
