PROGRESS
Week 3
Write a 2 to 3 minutes storyline for Project 1
Storyline:
Sound POV: The old man.
It was raining in the morning, an old man woke up to the alarm sound and then snooze it off, he then take off the blanket and get off from the bed. He walked slowly towards the door, walking in the hallway and opens the toilet door to go into the toilet to wash up by brushing teeth. After that he walks out from the toilet then close the door and make his way into the kitchen. He turns on the lights as old lights. The old man starts to make coffee using coffee brewer. He then take his coffee and go to sit on an old wooden chair. As soon as he take his first sip of the coffee, he choked on the coffee then his heart attack hits him right away. The old man quickly puts down his cup of coffee on the table then struggles to stand up from the chair. He walked quickly towards the kitchen shelf to get his medicine. He opens the cabinet but struggles to find the pills bottle, as he shuffles through the cabinet, the pills bottle got pushed by the old man's struggling hands then falls onto the ground. The old man then couldn't take it anymore then fainted to the ground... Not long after, the old man's son woke up and comes out from his room to the living room. The son quickly runs to get the car keys as soon as he saw his old man lying there on the ground and comes to the rescue to get the old man to the hospital. When the son helped up his father, he then hold him and walk themselves out of the house. The son puts on his shoes then quickly help his old man to the car. He lets the old man in the car first as passenger seat then make his own way to the driving seat. The son then starts the car engine and drive quickly. The End.
Week 6
I started to find all the tracks that is needed for the story from YouTube. Even though there are very little great choices on YouTube, I still managed to get some of the tracks that meets my requirements. After downloading them and put them into a file, I imported them in Premiere Pro for draft use only.
It was just a quick way for myself to get some tries and errors in Premiere Pro as shown below.

After assembling the tracks, I have an initial image of my story when it is put together.
This is the draft that I have done.

Week 7
I started to put my draft into Adobe Audition to begin the auditioning. After putting the file in, I noticed my sounds has a lot of spikes or sharp noises so I begin to lower some levels of the ones with spikes.

After adjusting the track, I showed Mr. Razif, our lecturer the track in order to get some feedbacks for final submission.

Week 8
Lecturer's feedback:
- The footsteps in the beginning feels too heavy, it is like a giant walking.
- Try add reverb at the bathroom part to add more realistic feel to it.
- You should add in the doors in and out of different rooms to indicate the person is leaving or entering the rooms.
- the footsteps in the kitchen sounds the same as the ones in the bathroom.
After gaining the approvement from the lecturer, I started import all of the needed tracks into Adobe Audition and start to edit the audios. This means that I have to start over again from the beginning as to cut all the tracks and adjust them one by one to get them into the right sound that I want. Then, assemble all the tracks into a multitrack as final.
