PROGRESS

Task 1A: Vanilla Walk Cycle

Figure 0.1: Move the legs

For this animation exercise, we were taught to model the key poses frame by frame. After that we then only need to adjust the poses between each key poses. There was 5 key poses in the beginning but then we will have to copy and paste flipped pose at frame 6 until frame 8. Frame 9 was the same as the first frame because the animation will loop that way. We also get to understand more of the poses and make it as smooth as we can by adjusting many details like hand movements, shoulder movements, and hip movements.

Figure 0.2: Editing graph

When I was happy with the 9 keyframes of the walk cycle, I began to drag the keyframes back a little bit for each keyframes in order to let the animation run magically with each frames between them. When the frames right, I also played around with the graph editor to make the walk smoother.

Task 1B: Attitude Walk Cycle

Figure 0.4: Goofy Walk reference from Sims 4

For the next walk cycle animation, attitude walk I decided to replicate the "Goofy Walk" from The Sims 4. The walk should be kind of lousy and no energy like. The character has hunched back and a little bit of outside-bended knees to it.
